ipod touch generation 1 speakers

hi my name is alicia flores and i have gotten an ipod touch generaton 1 for my birthday and it does not play any music without head phones. but it will play sound like when i go to text i can here like the popping sound of the keyboard clicking on every letter i touch is it possible that i do have speakers on my ipod touch generation 1?😕
