Lion search problem with Netgear ReadyNAS Duo

Hi all,

I'm having problems searching for files on my Netgear ReadyNAS Duo under Lion, but they are different than most I've researched. I'm trying to search using the Finder window method, NOT Spotlight, I'm connected over AFP, not SMB, and I'm only receiving partial results. It does try to search but it seems there are certain folders on the NAS that it will not search. I've checked the permissions on the folder that seems to be ignored by SSHing into the DUO and the owner and permissions are the same as all the rest that can be searched.

I have two Macs sitting next to each other, one running OS X 10.6.8, the other running OS X 10.7.5 and they return different results. The old 10.6.8 install returns correct search results. (I've even installed EasyFind on the Lion machine and it returns the same partial results as the Finder)

At this point, I don't even know where the issue is. OS X or the Duo. Search is essential for me doing my job as I have 800GB of photos that I work with at any one time. Please HELP!

I am also having the same issue, with my NAS now returning NO results at all.

Under 10.6 it was fine and returned results as expected.

After upgrading to 10.7 it now shows nothing.

I work on a magazine, where articles are stored by author name in monthly folders... we regularly have to find articles based solely on the author name, which means without knowing which month the article was published, we have to search for ages to find it.

Can anyone help with this issue?
