I don't have an iCloud button in the upper left of my documents browser, do you folks? I am using Mountain Lion on a MBP. I cannot find a way to access my iWork documents in the cloud. Can't find this button on my MB with Lion either.

but that cloud icon is not there. I checked finder preferences for the sidebar. where else can I look.

Can you post a screenshot what your documents browser looks like?

The folder that you should be able to access using the iClod icon is inside your user library:

~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~Pages/

You can also open it from the Finder's "Go" menu:

Finder > Go > Go to Folder

and then enter

~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~Pages/

Does this folder exist, and do you see any documents there? Or in ~/Library/Mobile Documents/?

also how did you add a custom folder to your favorites in the sidebar, Léonie?

That is easy 🙂 just drag the folder from the Finder to the sidebar where you want it, like this:

User uploaded file

Léonie

hey you know, my version is 4.0.5 but I cannot get it to update on either of my computers (Lion or ML). I tried opening software update, nothing. If I go to the app store and try to buy the new version it says that it is already loaded, but it isn't. is their anyway to "force" a software update.

I think that this is indeed the issue Léonie. You know, when I first upgraded to Lion, whenever I opened Pages it would say that an update was available but it would never load. strange.
