Cannot disable Automatic brightness adjust for LED Cinema Display

I am on a Mac Pro, running OS X 10.8.6, connected to a 27-inch LED Cinema Display. In Preferences-->Displays, there is no option that says "Automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes".

I work near a window and the auto-adjust is driving me crazy every time a cloud passes over the sun. Please help.
