Stuck on IOS 2.1 and wont let me upgrade to 4.2, iTunes its up to date, my cpu is upto date also, need to know why its not letting me upgrade...Can someone help me out her...PS. restore has already been done and still nothing....

Are syre you have a 2G iPod?
A 1G ipod can only fo to 2.1 via iTunes. Does the back of your iPod look like this (shape of black plastic in upper left). If so it is a 1G. A 1G can to to 3.1.3 that you get here:
