I just want to know
(1. How to tell if an iPhone is water damaged or not water damaged.
(2. What are some symptoms/things a iPhone will do if it's water damage?

Check the moisture sensors in the headphone jack and the docking connector. If they are pink or red the phone has been exposed to moisture.
i checked. the headphone jack is white, and the docking connector is silver. this means the phone is not water damaged?
I don't believe you are looking at the right place, the moisture sensors are always white unless triggered, they are never silver. It helps to look at them with a bright light or better yet a blue filtered light. If you do not see red or pink it is not triggered.

I was. I checked the Headphone Jack (it was white) and the Dock connector, the line under where you plug it in, it's also white.
This means the phone is not water damaged? i used a flashlight.
That is correct, it is no showing that it has been exposed to moisture. Why do you think it has?
I bought a Lifeproof case, and I was freaking out. But I checked what you said, and they are not red or pink! Such a relief 🙂
