Trying to connect to Facebook using Messages, getting XMPP error 119

The console error reads: [Warning] XMPPConnection: Error: Error Domain=XMPPErrorDomain Code=119 "The operation couldn’t be completed. (XMPPErrorDomain error 119.)"

Changing my username or password to something incorrect causes a popup, so it seems like I have them set properly.

I had the same problem today. It took a few hours for me to solve it. But I tried it with Adium and it also didn't work.

But finally I found the solution for my/the problem: You have to enable external Applications in your Facebook-Settings. That solved the problem for me. When I registered on facbeook I disabled all this options, but it is enabled on default settings. Since just a few people change this option, only just a few have this kind of issue.

Hope that helps people, who have the same issue.
