Q: Please help - Update installation issues for 10.8.2 for MacbookPro
Hello -
I just received a Macbook Pro as a gift yesterday, and I'm stillt trying to figure everything out. I set it up, but was immediately faced with an OS update that is 3 updates in 1. (iTunes, OSX 10.8.2 and MacBook Pro EFI Firmware 2.9). After all last night and all today trying to download the update, it apparently finally downloaded; however, it doesn't seem to want to install. I've restarted manually thinking maybe that's what it required, but the update is still sittting there. Whenever I click the "Update" Button, it goes into a "waiting" type status like it's doing something, and then it stops and the Update button is there again as if I never clicked it.
I'm hoping someone can use little words and help me through this. LOL
This is my first Mac computer, I have an iPad and iPod Touch, but I'm trying my hand at a Mac and I'd like to get through this road block so I can figure out the rest of this thing... like how to use it.
Please help. Thanks.
