Hi, I have downloaded the free authoring tool for creating iBooks. How do I publish the iBook to the book store - is there a cost involved in this?
Also, If I publish an iBook, can anyone access it, or can I make it only accessible by certain people?

So just to be clear - if I creat a feww iBook, anyone can get access to it? (I want to use for some specific training purposes and some information maybe sensitive so wondering whether I can go with this option or not)

You can't use Apple's iBookstore for selective distribution. You would have to distribute the book yourself, for example by emailing it or providing a link to a server where you store it. If you do not use the Apple store, the book must be free of charge if you are using the .ibooks format.

Yes for all three (assuming you use the .ibooks format)
iBooks are only available offline, you have to download them using email, a browser, or the iBooks app (from the iBookstore).
