Q: Re my IMC 10.7 LION

I put it to sleep when I'm done. Intead it shuts off. It takes 3 or 4 presses of the button to get it to restart and then it asks for a password although I have set it to bypass passwords. What can I do?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

Stop sleeping it and its HDs, just sleep the display. That's my setup and I've never had the issues. BTW, check the Security prefPane and ensure that require password for sleep/screensaver and log out are disabled.

I am sure this would help me if I knew how to do it. What do you do to just sleep the display? Can find nothing in system preferences. What is BTW? What is the Scurity prefPane. I have disabled password many times but it hasn't done any good. Possibly I'm doing it wrong but I don't think so.

Thank you. Have made the changes. On the second display I have #2, 4 and 5 checked Is that right?
