iMovie won't let me view/manipulate imported videos. Help?

Recently iMovie has stopped letting me view or manipulate my imported videos. It also only lets me open a couple of my exisiting projects. Of the ones that do open, it won't let me watch them. I also can't delete the ones that won't open. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
