i can do it from a PC using the quote button.... nothing on ipad though - am I mssing something here?
For some reason, tools like the quoting one are not available in Safari on iPad. Other browsers like Atomic have it.

I cannot see a quote with reply button (Chrome browser). Is there a way to manually enter the tags? I tired the usual BBcode [quote] [/quote] and apparently they aren't recognized as tags at all.

Some AdBlockers have been known to block certain tools - you can safely turn off any add-on you might have as well as any built-into Chrome
You may not see these either
the gear tools on your "Manage" pages may also be affected
