Apple in-ear Headphones metal piece rotating, resulting in bass loss

ok so the metal section of the Apple in-ear headphones truns eventually (not the mesh caps), and i have noticed a reduction in the bass performance at certain "turns", if you will. i like these headphones and all, they just are not great build quality 😟 please help so that i may "re-align" the earphones. I've had them for only one year and the rubber connecting each ear-bud to the cord has broken already...

P.S. i know this is kinda of and odd topic but idk if anyone else is also having this problem
