I do appreciate Time Machine. I like the easy way it is working. But When it starts, every hours, all other apps slow down too much.
If ther is no way to bring down the priority of Time Machine, I would appreciate this feature in the next software release.

If you would upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion I think you would find your issue has been resolved. Or get TimeMachineEditor 3.0 to give you more control over when Time Machine performs a backup.

Unfortunatly my iMac is too old (2007) to upgrade to Mountain Lion but your alternatives will help me. I did not know about this app but before I will try to find out if I can upgrade to Lion. If not, TimeMachineEditor will do the job for me.
