Just in the last week all of the <itunes:subtitle> and <itunes:summary> fields have gone missing on the front end from my iTunes U Collections. A similar problem happened in the spring and I had since fixed the problem by adding the subtitle field. I looked across all of iTunes U and the same issue is happened on most pages. Any ideas?

    Perhaps this might have something to do with the upcoming change to the iTunes application for Macs and Windows?  Supposedly, this is happening at the end of October.

     

    Of course, that doesn't excuse this problem. 

     

    Our users are furious that they can't find any descriptions of any of our podcasts!

    Same issue for us here in Tennessee.  The issue seems to be sitewide...even the older collections.  This "bug" really limits the functionality!  Perhaps your right and this is part of a "work in progress" with the prep for the new iTunes application.  All the best to you...

    It appears that the "Description" Field is now working correctly in our Collections.  How do things look on your end?  All the best...

    Things look back to normal.  Wish there was an explanation of what caused the problem, but very glad to see descriptions again.

    We're all good now. I agree, wish there was more communication with site managers about the status and reasoning. Glad it is all back up and running now.
