I've been using an Airport Express for 4-5 years now, and the signal has always been a little weak, but I never much cared, because I rarely needed to use the internet on the other side of my apartment.  Now I do.  I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if the Express just has a weak signal.

    Hello Kidbristol!

     

    Some interference may be causing the issue. microwaves, phones... devices that use similar frequency as your network.

     

    Open airport utility > select your airport and go to settings. Click the wireless tab > Wireless options > Select 5Ghz band and save settings.

    Thanks, Guimesquita2.  When I click on the wireless tab/wireless options, I'm unable to select anything like "5Ghz band".  Could this be listed as something else?
