how do i delete music from my iPad?

Depends on what you want to delete.
for albums, navigate to the album view, tap an hold on the album cover, then tap the X that appears.
a playlist works basically the same way, but will not actually delete the tracks
For individual song, you should be able to swipe adn tap the delete button, but that funtion doesn't appear to be working.
I have the new iTunes, my iPad is up to date on the iOS. I have music on my iPad, I dod not want music on my iPad. It is using 3.2 gb of space that I need. The new iTunes only allows you to synch voice memos, *** - I have none. I have toggled the Manage music and videos on the Summary page to no avail. After I delete all my phots, I am going to restore the f'n thing and ask for no music. The old iTunes wasn't as pretty, but it worked.

Nonsense. you can synch any of the content in itunes to the iPad.
Yes, I know that. But iTunes did not give me that option. After I restored iPad, it was only letting me synch memos, then suddenly it gained 4gb of space and all the music was gone. I was just about ready to restore as a new iPad. I was using iCloud for back up. I am not anymore. It appears the problem may have been in there.
