Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
Or you can just change the amount of time that passes before it locks:
Settings > General > Passcode Lock > enter your passcode > Require Passcode:
Immediately,
After 1 minute,
After 5 minutes,
After 15 minutes,
After 1 hour or
After 4 hours
That is because with the 5s, the iOS is different and the location of that has changed. It is located under the main Settings page, and you are looking for Touch ID & Passcode. The rest of the procedure is the same, sign in with your passcode, then select Turn Passcode Off.
Settings, general, passcode lock, enter your passcode, turn off. If its freezing up then restart your phone, hold the home and off button down till the apple symbol comes up and try again.
Nice! Thanks!
On my iPhone 5s, Settings > General has no "Passcode Lock" item on the menu. There is "Auto-Lock." But changing the Auto-Lock time to "Never" does not remove the Passcode Lock from the phone.
