U.S. iPod Touch 5 Delivery thread

Our European colleagues have this thread to alert those who keep wondering about their iTouch 5 deliveries so I thought I would do the same for U.S. Apple customers.

Order Site: Apple Store online

Order Date: Sept 24th

Description: iTouch 5 32 GB Black/slate/not engraved

Current status: Processing order....

Expected Delivery Date: Oct 24-26

Location: NC, U.S.A. (We do have a FedEx hub here also. That seems to affect delivery time for some but not all..)

From those in the U.S. who already got delivery, their tracking shows 2 Chinese cities, at least 2 U.S. FedEx hubs (and not necessarily direct to the Hub in their city if one is present). Realistically, with the increasing volume of orders, customs, delivery processes, expect at least 30+ days from the time of ordering. Whether one gets slightly faster service from Apple online, Apple Store, Amazon, BestBuy, etc I don't know but I suspect the first 2 choices are the best.
