I purchased a TiVo Premier 4 and would like to connect to my home network. I have an AirPort Extreme router and would like to use my Airport Express as a network extender and connect my TiVo to the Airport Express using an Ethernet cable. Will this work?

Don't know about Tivo, but it works fine on a DirecTV DVR.
Make sure that the Ethernet connection on the AirPort Express is working correctly first by temporarily connecting a laptop to the Express Ethernet port. Turn off the wireless on the laptop and see if you can connect to the Internet. If you can, then the connection to the Tivo should work as well.
