Since I updated software on my iphone I can't find photos, apps and ibooks. Stressed out to say the least.
Anywhere on my computer? Maybe Verizon has backup?
Any information would be appreciated.

Verizon wouldn't have your backup. You should be backing up your phone on a regular basis. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
If you havea backup, you can restore your phone to the backup. ibooks and apps should be in your itunes which you sync to.
