Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

That does not help me. Some apps are still slow and sometimes they freeze.
So you still have the problems after restoring to factory settings/new iPod (not from backup)? If so there is nothing you can do.
I don't want to reset it because I have important things on it. I don't want to delete them. Is there a way to save everything, and restore it?
- The first two items in my first reply do not really remove data and other things.
- Restoring from backup will make it like it was when the backup was made provided that all synced media like apps and music are in the iTunes library.
- Restoring to factory settings/new iPod erases everything
okay so lets say i was to restore like you sayed , none of my pictures will be deleted none of my songs will be deleted ? evertyhing will still be on my ipod ?
Well maybe because you have a lot on your ipod. you may need to delete some stuff like I did.
