my new ipad's home button not working properly

I don't know why my new ipad's home button is not working properly. I just bought it 3 months. I have another iPad 1 bought two years ago, it is working well!

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 6

I've seen this in a blog, and heard of successes. It's likely worth a try.


To recalibrate your Home button; simply open a stock iOS app (Clock, etc.). Once the app is open, press your iPad’s power button until the ‘slide to power off’ screen appears. From that screen, press and hold your Home button until iOS force quits the stock app you have open. You’re done!


If this doesn't work, since your iPad is under warranty, you should contact Apple for free service.
