Lost 10 GB on ipod classic

I bought a new ipod classic 160, but there only 149 GB available. Where is the other 11 GB?

You always loose memory ipods, externals, hardrives, usb sticks i dont know why but its completely normal i think its beacuse that amount of GB is being used by the ipod
