picture quality imovie 11 ? Dark scenes look crap!

Hello,

maybe someone has got an answer or a workaround for this problem. Whenever I drag & drop pctues from Iphoto into Imovie 11, the finishes (rendered) movie loos ok (slight loss of quality, ok) but the pictures look terrible. This bad, as you have to apologize when showing your best of holiday pictures around... This is not what i expect from high-tech apple products. My Dads movies made with "cheapo" Magix Software and so on look even better. Crisp, Sharp - and the Stills also. Not the case in Imovie. Is a way around this, or does apple expect the average user to bux final cut x for holiday and event movies?!

If so, i better get Bootcamp or something like this and switch to Windows again...? Thank you
