Hi
I just bought the new airport express. It is connected to my hifi with a spdif cable. Problem is, when i stream music it stutters the first 3-4seconds(as if it tries to buffer or something). I've streamed music from PC, Ipad, and iphone.. all with the exact same problem. My friend has the old airport express, and it doesnt have any problems at all 😟. It is very annoying!

Hi - I am assuming that your setup is correct because it is working - otherwise it wouldn't be working at all - it is normal to have a slight delay but 3-4 seconds with a stutter is unusual - I consulted with my son who has 5 sets of speakers on his Airplay setup and a lot of experience with it and he didn't have any reason why it is occuring - under these circumsatances, I recommend a factory reset and re-configure from scratch - sorry I couldn't have been more help.
