How do I play an iTunes rental movie?
It took almost 8 hours to download. Now it says I have 5 hours before it expires and I must use Quicktime to play, which doesn't seem to see the film. What a SNAFU.

Are you using a mac OS?
If so, try relaunching iTunes in 32-bit mode first, as per the instructions in the following document:
