How can I modify a 32 bit app to allow more VM without source code

Simply put, is there a way, in Mountain Lion (10.8.2) to allow a 32bit app to access more than 3.7 GB of Virtual Memory?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), iMac Core i7 2.93GHz 4GB
