Oct 14, 2012 5:50 AM in response to CRMDVMby Duket,IT was a full reset I think I held down the reset button for 5 sec + and it was done because the net was playing up and it was making it inposable to use the wifi for about a week and its taken a week just for the PC to see the base station

Oct 14, 2012 6:23 AM in response to Duketby CRMDVM,Thanks for the response - and don't worry, I am a Windows guy - before we get to a factory reset, I need more info on your system:
What kind of modem do you have?
Which Apple base station do you have (model, generation, how old is it, still under warranty, etc.)?
Is it your primary router and if not what others do you have and how are they connected?

Oct 14, 2012 8:40 AM in response to Duketby CRMDVM,OK - it looks like you should be good with a factory reset - to do this, unplug the Extreme and push in and hold the reset button while you plug it back in - wait for the light to flash fast and release the button - then wait for the light to flash slowly indicating that the Extreme is in factory default mode - you can then use the still "fully functional" Windows version of the Airport Utility to re-configure it to the way it was working originally - hopefully this will work - see this link for further ideas - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4587 - keep me posted on your progress.
