I recently migration my applications and documents from my old 2009 MacBook running OS Mountain Lion to my new MacBook Air 2012 also running OS Mountain Lion. However upon doing so I cannot not open any of my textedit douments which I had not previously saved.
When I run textedit it simply hangs until I do a force quit. Has anyone else come across this because migration is suspose to be quite simple and it was apart from this problem.
The account user name is identicial to the previous one on my last computer. I've done a repair permissions and it has repaired quite a few except for anything relating to the documents that had been unsaved in textedit. This means that OS Mountain Lion doesn't think a repair is required in this case.
MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Also runs window 7, VMWare Fusion 5
I have since opened TextEdit and selected don't reopen window or it may have been windows. This caused all or nearly all the windows to reopen. Will need to check if any have not reopened by comparing to my other laptop, from which they came.
