Has anyone else found a conflict between QT Player 10.2 and the Tascam US-122 MKll?

There seems to be a conflict between the Tascam US-122 MKll and QuickTime Player 10.2 on OS 10.8.2. QT will give an error message and not play any files that contain audio when the US-122 is selected as the audio output device.

iTunes will play the files, as will Adobe Premiere, the finder and Ableton Live, but QT Player will not.
