Push notifications not working over Bluetooth Tether on iOS 6

Just curious if anyone else has noticed this... Push notifications are not working for me over Bluetooth Tether connection since upgrading to iOS 6. This is confirmed on my iPod Touch 4th Gen, iPad 2, and a new iPod Touch 5th gen. The iPad and iPod were both fine with notifications on iOS 5. This only became an issue when updated to iOS 6. Once a wifi connection is established, the notifications then come through.

I have searched everywhere but no one else has reported this. Only issues with Bluetooth connections to car stereos. Thanks!

Still an issue in iOS 6.1 on both iPad and iPod Touch. Also, iMessages continue to not work, nor facetime when tethered through BT. I am starting to think this is intentional by design to limit functionality and encourage people to purchase wifi hotspot addon to their data plans.

The real problem is, wifi tethering is not useful to me as A) it uses too much power in my phone and B) the connection goes to sleep after a period of inactivity where as a BT connection is persistent.

Have not seen Apple support address this in any forum... still waiting.
