Troubleshooting Slow video buffering on wifi

I have an iphone 5. i have reset network settings turned off my phone and restarted. Compared side-by-side with my iPhone 4 my iPhone 5 video streaming is a turtle. Buffering is terrible, once it's starts playing it always hangs. My iPhone 4 plays straight through no hiccups. Is thee a setting in iPhone 5 that's preventing it to perform this way. Isn't iphone 5 supposed to have a sort of dual band that makes it perform even faster than previous devices over wifi? If I can't get comparable connection speeds to that of my iPhone 4 on my home network won't make much sense for me to keep this phone.

Hi,

I have the exact problem however it only happens at home WiFi (airport express) but not at office. I don't know what type of WiFi AP they use at the office but definately not an Apple one.

I've also tried streaming the same videos with my iPad 2 and It was also quite fast.

Both the iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPhone 4 and Airport Express are using the latest firmwares.

Did anyone found a way to resolve this?

Thanks,

Erdem
