Can Apple TVs in different countries share iTunes account?

I'm in Korea and my wife in the U.S. We have Apple TVs on same iTunes account. Hers works fine. Over the past couple days, mine started malfunctionin. Whey I try to play a purchased TV show, I get: "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later." Previews play fine. Please help!
