My ipad classic 1st gen does not have an update software feature. How do i download the ios 5.1.1 verion? Do i need to connect to my pc through itunes? I appreciate any and all help. thanks. paul

Connect the iPad to the computer and iTunes will ask you to update your iPad to the most recent iOS
Yes, do it via iTunes on your computer.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update.

Ipad 1st gen. I want to download ios 5.1.1 my ipad has no software udate feature under general under settings for wi fi download. How would i get ios 5.1.1. Thanks paul
