Personal hotspot not working

Hi

I recently bought an new iPad 4g and wifi here in Saudi Arabia. However noticed that personal hotspot is not appearing in this device. The same SIM card when I used in my iPhone 4 it shows personal hotspot and works as well but here this is really disappointing that its not working with my new iPad 32 gb.

please help because I wanted to use it and that is one of the reason I bought this device. :(

You need to contact your cell carrier to see if they allow the hotspot on the iPad.

Hi Deggie,

I gave a call to customer care for carrier and what they say is nothing to be done from their side it's just I need to visit some phone shop and get the configuration done, which I doubt is right .....

AS such they say no issue with the carrier..

I tried resetting network settings, tried two different SIMs but still not visible...

Then apparently they do not support HotSpot on the iPad.

Well there are some people with With same carrier already using it.

So can't believe that's as case.

Any other reasons ???

Are you using an Apple supported carrier? Or is this one where you have to manually configure? Since your carrier mentioned going to a shop to adjust the configuration I am assuming it is not a supported carrier. So go to one of the shops and have them check it.
