Is there an unlocked iPhone 5?

I want to get the iPhone 5, but I would be the only person in my family with a smartphone. Currently we have tracfones (which suck!!!). Since I would be the only one with a smartphone it would be around $80 to $150 for a good amount of data, that is way to expensive for me considering I have to pay my phone bill, car insurance, and $350 of gas month to get to school and home. I want to get t mobile since they have a plan for $70 a month with unlimited data, but they don't carry the iPhone unless it's unlocked.
