iphone 5 will not sync because sync session fails to start

Has anyone had the issue where your iphone 5 will not sync because sync session fails to start? If so how did you fix it?

Unpluged and replugged IPhone. That alone didn't do it. Repeated that, then restarted Mac Mini. That did it.
