Q: Iphone 5 is not connecting to the App store

Iphone 5 is not connecting to the app store. I am using a verizon iphone 5 with 64 gig   IOS 6 and latest ITUNES, Itunes works fine. When I try and get apps I get an error that I can not connect to the app store server
