iPad stolen, probably factory reset.. serial number traceable when connected with iTunes again?

You cannot track, lock or wipe iPad with serial number. Apple do not track stolen device.

Once reset, you can't track it with Find My iPad.

Suggest you change your password quickly.

iPads can be activated without connecting to iTunes when they are running iOS version 5 or later.

No. Apple is not a law enforcement agency. You need to report it to the police.
