i dont have a startup disk on my os x utilities

I used the OS X Utilitiels to erase my HD, but now I cant restart my computer normally. When i choose to restart with the start up disk nothing shows up and it keeps rebooting to the OS X Utilities. Anyone knows what is happenig?

If you've erased your boot disk (partition), then there isn't any data. The firmware will give you the recovery boot disk, which (with Lion and Mountain Lion) is a separate partition. You'll need to reload OS X onto the disk (partition), either from a local backup, or from a local copy of the OS X distro or by downloading the OS X distro from Apple.
