Oct 15, 2012 12:09 PM in response to Shivramsby John Galt,... The printer is connected to a PC running Windows 7. That PC is connected to my Wireless Network.
To be clear, that printer is a wired printer, shared by your wireless PC.
The PC has to be configured to "share" the printer. That is a Windows question. Windows probably needs to conjure up some kind of wizard to do that. When your PC makes the printer available, it will automatically appear in your Mac's System Preferences > Print & Scan.

Oct 18, 2012 9:39 AM in response to Shivramsby John Galt,OK, it ought to work just fine.
Does your HP 3050 J610 appear in System Preferences > Print & Scan? Has it ever worked on your Mac? If so, when did it stop working?
