Q: Says no SIM card even though there is one in the phone.

The fix given by apple didn't work. I can't even restor my phone becasue it says there is no SIM card in it but I never took it out in the first place so there is obviously one in there. Now what do I do?

iPhone 4, iOS 6

Was your phone ever locked to a different carrier?

No I just got the phone in June brand new. I called Bell (my carrier) they said the SIM card is probably fried. After 3 months?

try removing and reseating the Sim. Make sure the copper contacts are clean.
