Logic Express 8 crashes

Hi,

I have just installed Snow Leopard (10.6.8) on my iMac 7.1, 2 (GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM).

The problem is that Logic Express (8.0.2) crashes when I select "Open" from the file menu. It's fine when I select "Open Recent" where apparently the paths works.

Another strange thing is that it is not possible to close a project. The close button in the upper left corner appears as a small dot instead of a cross and is inactive.

It was working fine until I installed snow leopard. I have also tried Logic Pro 9 with same result. Music is mylivelihood so it has to work.

Can anybody please help me?
