iPhone 5 calls go straight to voice mail

i have the same problem, recieved calls going straight to voicemail or disconnection on iphone 4s 6.1 its obviously a firmware bug, never had it until i updated to ios6, so so so funny when people tell others to restore, as if thats gonna make any difference, lets just hope some big time apple share holders have the same problem, they'll recognise the problem exists then, until then no one cares about us, i am a self employed painter&decorator and am losing business because of this, any chance of £-some-cash per missed call out of that mega pot of gold you got stashed away Mr Cook?

Same here: iPhone 5, iOS 6.1, carrier Swisscom: Missing calls (diverted straight to voicemail) when LTE is enabled. The issue disappears when I switch LTE off. The failure rate is maybe 50% with LTE on (i.e. some calls do come through).

I am. I find my phone rings once and then stops, I still have 3-5 bars. Not sure about the voicemail, as I don't have it.

My phone calls were going straight to voice mail for a couple weeks now (since the latest software update). Today I discovered that "Do Not Disturb" was turned on. Turned it off and calls are coming through.

This issue almost caused a breakup with boyfriend! The "reprovision" idea sounds hooeful. Thanks.

iOS update 6.1.2 fixed the issue for me.

My partner has experience calls going straight to voicemail with his new iPhone5 (carrier Telstra). We tried a number of reset options, none of which worked, but after reading discussions here we went straight to LTE and turned it OFF. We tested it immediately and it worked.

Don't fully understand why, but simply turning off LTE is what has worked for us.

Upgrading to iOS 6.1.3 appeared to fix this issue.

I'm having this very same issue too, with calls going straight to voicemail with no notification of a missed call. All it shows is I have a voicemail (if they even leave one) and it's very frustrating!

Going to try disabling the 4G and see if that makes a difference. I notice many people with this issue are on AT&T but I happen to be on Verizon and I've seen others with Verizon service who have this issue as well so I don't think it's limited to just AT&T. Wondering if it has something to do with the current iOS.

I've already had my phone replaced once and that didn't work so I'm hoping Apple can sort this out because I'm really becoming incredibly frustrated.

I'm having a similar issue with calls ringing once then receiving a message saying the line is busy, the problem happens on almost a daily basis, I've never had a problem with my previous phone on the same network. Do Apple ever respond - as with 16000 view this is obviously an issue.

I reported this issue in January. AT&T replaced the SIM card in my phone, and that did not solve the problem. Apple replaced my iPhone at my local store. That still did not fix the problem. Shortly thereafter, LTE was not available in my area (Cleveland, Ohio). Regardless of phone settings, I did not have LTE on my phone. I experienced the problem far less. Suddenly about a week ago, LTE is back. I don't know what caused the problem or what can fix it, but I truly believe that it is a network issue, possibly with LTE. Unfortunately, there is no good way to test to see if the problem is fixed because in my case the problems were intermittent.

You saved my Iphone 5. I tried everything, replacement, AT&T technical support 10 000 times,

reset network, reset all setings, reseting my mind, my mood etc etc etc. When I read your post BINGO.

I disable LTE and ...BINGO the phone started working again.Thank you very much.

It now works on 4g nao LTE. I will try to go to Verizon, although I have contract.

I am fed up with AT&T.

I have this problem on a regular basis on Verizon on LTE with my iPhone 5. I have to wake my phone up by making an outgoing call or actual SMS text so that the system sees it. Of course, 4 hours later and it happens again... very frustrating and it happens to my wife's iPhone 5, as well.

I got tired of this and turned LTE off at work, calls started to come in. It's mostly that I notice, when I'm browsing Internet and on LTE that calls don't come in. I see LTE switch to 4G and then nothing..... Later i get voice mail!!! Apple needs to look in to it!
