My Macbook Pro suddenly started to make a loud noise from the left side with a bibration..... It seems to be functioning okay otherwise, but I'm too scared to turn it back on. What should I do?

FIrst, we need to know what system you have. There's no such thing as a PowerBook Pro, and Powerbooks can't run OS X 10.6.8. So you probably have a MacBook Pro, and might want to post your question in the MacBook Pro discussion here.

Oops. Sorry, I mixed up the info with my desktop...... My MacBook Pro w/ OS X 10.5.8 is the one with the problem. I'll post the question in MacBook Pro discussion and see if I can get any help there. Thanks!
