Safari asks for my keychain password 4 times - Help

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion.

In Safari, on some web pages (bank, ebay, etc) I set Keychain access to require Safari to ask for the Keychain password. In Snow Leopard it worked as follows:

1. On the login page, Safari requests the login password and then populates the account and password fields

2. When I click 'login' it again requests the login password and then login proceeds.

With Mountain Lion, the first step is the same. On the second step, when I click 'login', the password is requested 3 times before the login proceeds.

Does anyone know why the password is requested 2 extra times? Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have verified the login keychain. I only have a problem with the webpages that I require Safari to ask for the Keychain password.

My hard disk has two partitions: the main one running ML and one with Snow Leopard for when I need to run a couple of old programs. I use bootcamp to choose between the two. The keychain exists on both disks.

Thanks

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
