iphone 4 vs iphone 4s reception issues

Hello,

I have an interesting question... my 2 year old iPhone 4 seems to get better service than my parent's iPhone 4s. I always though the 4s would have better signal since its got 2 antenna. Did i miss a setting or is just pure luck?

I dont think its the iPhone as we have 2 4s and both have the same bars but the 4 gets an extra bar. There are some areas of my house where i get service on the 4 but not the 4s. Should i return/exchange them?

hello, could you provide carrier service for both phones( if they are different )

the iphone 4 did have antenna gate problems, but as some you might have been blessed with an actual Apple rather then a Lemon.

all 3 devices are ATT.

edit: iphone 4 is on 5.01

iphone 4s is on 5.1.

ok, signal wise when your on the phone, how is the reception? clear? does it drop calls? also if you hold the iphone 4 weird ways it will drop the signal because of blocking the antenna, i have a iphone 4s and its either full bars or 1 from full and when send/receive calls its clear non static.

crazy unrealistic places i have 1-2 bars lol

edit: why not update both to 5.1.1 or is it saying "must" upgrade to iOS 6?

iPhone 4... soon to be iPhone 5. 😝 then ill update to iPhone 4 to ios 6 and restore for it to be unlocked.

but my question isnt the iPhone 4, they are the 4s. I can make txt goes out fine on the 4, calls are not great but it can go out... The 4s however is a different story, no signal sometimes, bad connection.

Iphone 4 has better signal than the 4s. Could it be because the 4 is jailbroken? doesnt make sense though...

possibility because of jail broken, on the other hand im not a super tech either. if it continues try and restore as new and either return for a new 4S, they are basically free anyways lol

edit: honestly iphone 5 is not worth the hype, still there are fixing bugs, when the iphone 4S might not have the data speed as the 5, it has its kinks pretty much cleared

well, i live in a super large city so LTE everywhere for me. Besides, im due for an upgrade so might as well get the 5. if not, i can sell it... sure i can get $600 for it and get the 4s... lol
