Battery won't last even a day! after iOS6 installed??

Hi,

I have a 7months old iphone4S with iOS6. I have notised recently that my iphone last even a day!

I am not a heavy user at all, mainly use iphone for text and a few calls, safari and sometime camera.

I don't play on application or games or music on my iphone, or allowed fetching download,

It may have started since I installed iOS6, if you have any idea about this or had same problem and solved,

please let me know! Or should I take iphone into Apple shop??

Apple Retail Stores and AppleCare can run diagnostics on your iPhone to determine the battery health and whether it needs to be replaced or not.

Best thing to do first.... Most battery issues after an update are caused by software corruption.

Try a restore of the device... If that doesn't work, restore to factory settings and setup as a new device.

It should also be noted that the iPhone batteries slowly lose this ability to hold a charge ovef a period of time. This is normal behavior. It's hard to know if iOS 6 settings are causing your issue I'd you don't know exactly when the symptoms started. It could be a coincidence that you noticed the lower chage time when you upgraded.

If the battery is not defective and simply needs to be replaced as it becomes depleted, then a battery replacement runs around $79. Usually defective batteries simply don't work within minutes or randomly shut down, etc.

It's more likely the phone needs a restore.
