When I go to print my Mac says that my printer is offline

I have been printing seamlessly for the past several years and now all of a sudden when I go to print imac is telling me that my printer (using AirPort Express) is Offline. I called Comcast but they say it could be due to the AirPort Express.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If your printer is connected to the USB port on the AirPort Express, it might be a good idea to work your way through Apple's Printer Troubleshooting Guide.

I assume that you have already done basic troubleshooting....like powering off the entire network then restarting devices one at a time about a minute apart, starting with the modem first.
